This privacy policy explains what the AliCheckout browser extension ("AliCheckout", "the extension", "we", "us") does with data, and – more importantly – what it does not do. AliCheckout is a free Chrome extension that helps shoppers on aliexpress.com find and apply store coupon codes that are already available in their own AliExpress account. It was designed so that the data it handles stays in your browser.

1. Who we are

AliCheckout is an independent software project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by AliExpress, Alibaba Group or any of their subsidiaries. You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@alicheckout.com.

2. The short version

• The extension stores coupon fields – code, discount, minimum order amount, store and validity date – in a local database inside your browser.
• It does not store your AliExpress login, password, name, address, order history or payment details.
• It does not send your coupon database or your browsing activity to our servers. We do not operate a server that receives data from the extension.
• It does not use analytics, tracking pixels or advertising SDKs.
• It uses AliExpress affiliate links, which means AliExpress – not us – may learn that a purchase was referred by the extension.
• Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored.

3. What data the extension processes

3.1 Coupon data

When code collection runs – at most once a day when "Collect new codes daily" is on, or when you press "Collect codes now" – the extension opens a brief AliExpress window and reads the store coupon codes that AliExpress displays to you in your own account, specifically in the coupon center and in product coupon panels. From each coupon it extracts and stores only the following fields: the coupon code string, the discount amount, the minimum order amount, the store the code belongs to and the date until which the code is valid. This information is saved in a local database that is part of the extension's storage in your browser.

3.2 Page information needed to show hints and the checkout panel

To display the one-line hint under a product price and the coupon panel at checkout, the extension reads the current store identifier, item price and order composition from the AliExpress page you are viewing. This information is used in the moment to decide which codes to show and whether their minimums are met. It is not stored beyond what is needed to render the hint or panel on that page.

3.3 Savings ledger

When you click Apply and AliExpress accepts a code, the extension records the code, the store, the discount AliExpress reported and the date in a local ledger so that it can show the "Your savings" card and the "Saved with this tool" figure. This ledger is stored locally and is never transmitted.

Your "Auto-apply at checkout" and "Collect new codes daily" settings are also stored locally.

4. What the extension does not collect

The extension does not read, store or transmit your AliExpress credentials, session cookies, name, email address, shipping addresses, phone number, order history, payment methods or any browsing activity outside aliexpress.com. Its permissions are limited to AliExpress pages and its own local storage.

5. Where data is stored and for how long

All data described above is stored on your device using the browser's extension storage. It is not synchronised to any server operated by us. Coupon entries are refreshed when collection runs; expired codes may be removed or retained for display with their expiry date. All stored data is deleted when you remove the extension from your browser. You can also clear it by clearing the extension's site data through Chrome's settings.

6. Interaction with AliExpress

The extension interacts with aliexpress.com in three ways: it opens an AliExpress window to read coupon codes shown in your account; it reads page content on product and checkout pages to display hints and the coupon panel; and, when you click Apply, it enters a code into AliExpress' own promo code field and presses AliExpress' Apply button. Any data exchanged during these interactions is exchanged between your browser and AliExpress under AliExpress' own privacy policy, exactly as when you use the site without the extension. We do not see this traffic.

7. Affiliate links

This extension uses AliExpress affiliate links. If you buy through these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. When an affiliate link is used, AliExpress receives an identifier that attributes the visit or purchase to AliCheckout. We may receive aggregated commission reports from the AliExpress affiliate programme; these reports do not identify you personally to us and we do not combine them with any data from the extension. The affiliate programme is operated by AliExpress and governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

8. This website

alicheckout.com is a static site without tracking cookies, analytics or advertising scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs briefly for security purposes.

9. Your rights

Because the extension keeps data on your own device and we do not hold personal data about you, you can exercise access, correction and deletion directly through the popup, your browser settings or by uninstalling. If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we hold personal data about you (for example because you emailed us), contact info@alicheckout.com; you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

10. Changes to this policy

If the extension's data handling changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date before any new category of data is collected, and describe material changes in the Chrome Web Store listing.
